October is AAC Month.

AAC stands for Augmentative and Alternate Communication.

There are many types of AAC including Direct Generation Devices, Communication Boards, Signage like Lamh and pictures like PECS. My own son uses an AAC device to support his communication. It is important to promote awareness of and support inclusion of all Communication types. Spread the word 🙂
